spatialest gives presentation at IAAO, Reno

The spatialest team attended the 74th Annual IAAO conference in Reno, NV, and gave the presentation:

Location, Location, Location: Understanding and Incorporating Geography in Mass Appraisal

The paper demonstrated how GIS can be used to improve mass property valuation through: 1. identifying patterns and trends in the data that might improve the predictive model. 2. modeling the 'local' geography as part of the valuation process. Central to the presentation was the emphasis on true GIS-CAMA integration being more than just linking a parcel to a property record card but allowing geography to be fundamental to analysis.
